Related to the article published in the French local newspaper "Le Midi Libre", we bring the next counterstatement.
In contrast to what the regional newspaper "Le Midi Libre" affirms in his edition from today, the transfer of Nikola Karabatic to Montpellier is not done for the moment.
The discussions between THW Kiel and MAHB are suspended in this moment, the German club ist focused on the second leg of the Champions League final on Sunday.
It is very clear that the engagement of Nikola Karabatic to MAHB or to any other club was done only if an agreement with THW Kiel would be found, what today is not the case.
We deeply regret that the search after sensational reports and exclusivities prevails to the checking of the information with the parts involved and we hope that the informations which were published will not perturbate the ongoing discussions.
