Now it’s official: Nikola Karabatic and Vid Kavticnik will leave THW Kiel at the end of the season for Montpellier HB.
THW Kiel would have liked to count furthermore on both players, who were under contract with the Zebras until 2012, but it was not possible anymore. The players’ will to change the club was stronger than anything.
The coach Alfred Gislason regrets the whole situation: "It would have been beautiful if we had kept this wonderfull team intacted, but it is useless."
In Nikola’s place will come Momir Ilic, the left back of VfL Gummersbach, and Vid will be replaced by SC Magdeburg’s right winger Christian Sprenger.
