11.03.10 - German Cup: Sovereign win in Wetzlar

HSG Wetzlar - THW Kiel 23:31. The team coached by Alfred Gislason encoutered no difficulties toqualify for the Final Four in Hamburg. Nikola performed very well, scoring 8/1 goals, seven from them already in the first half.


The hosts could keep the pace with the visitors for 4 minutes (2:2), after that the Zebras took complete control over the match: 11:3 after 14 minutes, 18:10 at the half time. A big difference even if Gislason could count only on 10 players, Filip Jicha (flu) and Vid Kavticnik (injury) couldn´t play, while Christian Zeitz accused a cold.
In the second half Kiel extended their lead to maximum 12 goals (27:15/45., 29:17/52.). Wetzlar managed to reduce the margin in the final minutes and lost honourably at 8 goals, 31:23.
