Kiel leaded from the beginning until the end. The biggest margin in their favour was of 4 goals in the first half (19:15/25., 21:18/30.), in the second half they had even 5 goals more than the opponent (27:22/39.). Vid Kavticnik and Christian Zeitz convinced totally, but Filip Jicha and Nikola performed very well as well.
In the last ten minutes, THW played not that well and within 5 minutes to go the "Lions" came closer to a goal (33:32) and even equalised within 8 second to go (35:35). But Filip Jicha kept cool and sent a real bomb through Szmal legs and qualified his team into the final.
