The German Champions fought hard to win tonight, especially in the first 30 minutes. Beginning with the 22nd minute they had a two goal lead (13:11), the same difference they took with into the dressing room (17:15). THW´s right side was incredible, Vid Kavticnik and Christian Zeitz scored the majority of their squad goals!
For the first time in the match the hosts extended their lead to three goals after 36 minutes (21:18), but Gummersbach kept close with them. Within 14 minutes to go Nikola and his teammates were just by one up (25:24), but in 9 minutes the situation changed completely. Kiel scored 5 times in a row, got no goal (30:24) and the game was practically over.
