The life ist definitively not the same anymore since someone has become Olympic Champion. The proof for it is the triumphal arrival of the French players yesterday evening. They were treated like heros, as they fully deserved.
The new men´s handball Olympic Champions didn´t expect to see so many people waiting for them yesterday evening in the airport Roissy Charles de Gaulle. "We already heard the noisiness made by fans since we have waited for our luggage. And when we were out, we couldn´t believe our eyes. More than thousand persons were there, in front of us to applaud us, to call our names, to smile to us, this is really touching. My parents and my brother Luka were there, too, I was on the cloud nine. I personally never lived something similar. In such moments you really realise that what we achieved in China was colossal and that a lot of people watched our heroic epic ", said Niko.
Les Blues needed more than an hour to leave the terminal and to get in to the bus. They drove to hotel in the quarter Montparnasse from Paris, where it took place a reception organised by the French Federation with its partners. The small party lasted until 4 o´clock in the morning, time when les Blues went to sleep.
And what about today? Nothing particularly. The players will be like royals treated on Champs Elysées, for a celebration organised by a famous automotive supplier and at half past six in the afternoon they will participate to the traditional Garden Party at Palais Elysée, in the presence of the president of France, Nicolas Sarkozy. A normal afternoon, anyway...for the best sports ministers of France...
