20.11.08 : Nikola, between La Toussuire and Dunkirk

- Niko, where are you and what are you doing?
"I am in the car with my brother. We spent a peaceful day together in Montpellier, it feels good after the first trainig camp."

- Was it difficult there, wasn´t it?
"Yes, I must admit it, bu we prepared very well. It was very physically. Just a bit of handball, we touched the ball maximum two or three hours. We ran and we made strength training a lot. And after it we had three days of rock climbing, rambling and mountain bike. Now we can repose, but only this weekend because on Tuesday we will meet again and we will go to Dunkirk for a training camp based on handball. "

- What do you think about the fact that Alfred Gislason was appointed your new coach?
"I found out the identity of my new coach from the website of the club. I met him a couple of times, during the National Teams games. I know that he has a very good realtionship with Noka, that they have respect for each other. It is a good beginning, isn´t it? And after all he is an excellent coach, he has already won Champions League with Magdeburg and that means a lot. I think that he knows where he comes and he is aware that he can achieve important things with Kiel. He has the ability for it."

- Could you follow the international news?
"Do you want that I talk to you about the liberation of Betancourt? When I heard the news, I almost fell off my chair. Every time I heard talking about her, I thought that we will never see her again. Und then, all of a sudden, he appears on TV screen, she is free. I was really touched by that news. Oh my God, six and a half years of detention, this is not human. But what a woman she is, he kept on and she lies in the arms of her children today. A great moment. I read a lot about her and her fight in Columbia."
