- Niko, before we talk about something else, how does it work out in La Toussuire?
"It works well, the weather is beautiful and the atmposphere in the team is excellent."
- What about your daily schedule there?
"We have had strength training and running until now. And after that, we worked again with the ball. We had a mountainbike yesterday in the afternoon. It was really cool, but also difficult."
- You found out that Noka left Kiel on Wednesday, didn´t you?
"Well, he didn´t really left Kiel, he was dismissed. I know that he wanted to honour the last year from his contract, but they didn´t give him the occasion to do it."
- Was this a news that you foresaw?
"I knew that Noka and the club´s chiefs were having a row, but I was convinced that they will let him bringing to end his last season in Kiel. I´ve got a slap in the face, exactly like enough players from THW. I didn´t really expect it."
- Did you talk about it with your teammates?
"Yes, evidently. All are astounded. A lot of players were attached to Noka, they didn´t understand this decision. It is really hard to understand."
- How do you, personally, see this issue?
"I see it badly, very badly. It was due to Noka that I have signed in Kiel. He was the main reason why I have extended my contract. Because he isn´t there anymore, I feel myself a bit lost now. It is extremely difficult to go on holiday and find out right in the middle of it that your coach is fired. You go, Noka wishes you to have a lovely holiday, you come back and he isn´t there anymore. I feel that I go in uncertainty. And to be honest, it was not the best time to get such a news."
- Is this fact disturbing your preparation?
"I am confused. I don´t really knowat what point I find myself. "
- What does Noka mean for you?
"I am very attached to him. It is also due to him that I am what I am. I am truly sad to see him leaving and sad to see the way how it has happened."
- How do you see your future in Kiel?
"For the moment, I am a bit in the air. We didn´t know until now the name of the new coach, even if Alfred Gislason seems to be the favourite. Anyway, I am under contract for another four years in Kiel. I will see how it will be the situation. But I say to myself that the life is in this way, that the top-class sport is so, even if this breaks my heart."
- Do you know Alfred Gislason?
"Yes, I know that he is an excellent coach, he won enough titles."
- You are with les Blues now, you eye the Olympic Games...
"I know, but the news about Noka being discharged is absorbing me, it will be truly difficult to put it away..."
