Impressive, no doubt, how the Gladiators performed in the first two rounds: 30:17 with Essen and 34:22 against Dormagen, the last one, exactly the team who forced THW to a draw in the first round. But despite of the fact that the hosts are not showing themselves in a good shape for the moment, Madgdeburg´s coach, Michael Biegler sees them advantaged: "This is one a kind team in the world. They are clear favourites, even if from Kiel showed until now, not everything was good."
On the other side, Zebras coach, Alfred Gislason, counts only on a victory. "SCM comes as leader of the championships und we want to change it", said the trainer to the newspaper "Kieler Nachrichten." Gislason has been for almost seven year the coach of Magdeburg, winning the Champions League (2002), the German Championships (2001), the EHF Cup (2001), two times the European Supercup (2001, 2002) and the German Supercup (2001).
