06.01.09 - Champions League: A walk in the park in Drammen

THW Kiel won tonight its second game of the group C, 39:29 in front of the hosts from Drammen HK. The match in Norway looked rather like a friendly one, being the perfect workout for the clash against Barcelona on 19h October in Spain.

Nikola (injured) und Marcus Ahlm had a day off this evening, sitting only on the bench, while Stefan Lövgren came on the field only to execute three 7 meter shots. Kim Andersson played the last 10 minutes and Titi Omeyer just the first half. In such conditions the wings Domninik Klein and Vid Kavticnik got the most minutes on the court and they scored the most goals, 8, respectively 7/1. After 15 minutes, Kiel was in lead with 3 golas (11:8) and extended it until 7 at the break: 22:15.
The second half was a piece of cake for the Zebras, who leaded with 11 goals without to force themslves and in the end won by 10, 36:26. Particularly enjoyable the performances produced by Andreas Palicka (12 saves) and Daniel Wessig, two goals at his debut.
